T. Alexander Brabant is a partner in the Heenan Blaikie Litigation group in Paris and the leader of our Paris office International Litigation Department.
Alexander has developed expertise in the area of international litigation. He regularly acts in connection with contract law, distribution, construction and product liability, mergers and acquisitions litigation and shareholder litigation, as well as in complex industrial relations litigation that involves managing multipartite judicial appraisals.
Besides his experience before state courts (civil, commercial and administrative jurisdictions), he has built a significant practice in the area of international arbitration (institutional and ad hoc).
The African continent (mostly CD, Burkina Faso and Cameroon) represents another important component of Alexander’s practice. He advises listed mining companies regarding the validity of their mineral titles, their representation before ministerial commissions (such as the Commission de revisitation des contrats miniers) and, more generally, regarding the development of strategies designed to protect mining rights.
