Barbara Holmes is a member of Heenan Blaikie’s Condominium group. Her practice is focused on condominium development and condominium corporation matters, as well as commercial leasing.
Barbara is a frequent contributor to Condo Reporter, which provides timely commentary on the latest developments in condominium law in Ontario, and has written articles that have appeared in various condominium industry magazines.
Barbara previously practised law at McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited for 21 years, holding various positions, including general counsel in her final years. Her practice covered all areas of the Corporation’s business, including leasing and other real estate matters, franchising, marketing and advertising and supply chain/procurement.
While at McDonald’s, Barbara was the recipient of the President's Award, the company's highest honour, awarded to the top one percent of McDonald’s employees worldwide for their contribution to its business operations and values.
Barbara joined Heenan Blaikie in December 2007.
