Heenan Blaikie's Entertainment Law group is pleased to announce the launch of Entertainment and Media Law Signal, a collaborative blog that offers readers timely commentaries on developments in the entertainment and media industries. Members of the Entertainment Law group from the Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver offices will provide regular content.

Finding that his clients and colleagues outside of the firm were relying on social media outlets to get immediate access to industry news and developments, Toronto partner Bob Tarantino felt that the creation of a blog would not only be a sensible method to transmit useful information to the general public, but also a practical way for the practice group to build stronger relationships among their clientele and within the group itself. "The blog will also be a 'gathering space' for members of the entertainment group across the country," he explains. "It will give us an opportunity to keep each other informed about new developments and share ideas and information about how best to approach issues which arise in our daily practice."
