Alexandra V. Mayeski has been quoted in The Picton Gazette in an article entitled "County amends winery by-law." Alexandra is the co-chair of Heenan Blaikie's new Wine Law Group, which assists entrepreneurs and established wineries alike to create, market and expand their businesses nationally and internationally. The Group also provides solutions to the challenges wineries face in all areas, including corporate, litigation, labour and employment as well as customs and trade issues. During the last month, Alexandra has been joined by her co-chair Martha Harrison as well as Michael G. Woods, the Honourable Marie Poulin and T. Murray Rankin, Q.C. in an outreach initiative with major stakeholders in the domestic industry as well as in the United States. The Group is scheduled to participate in the Prince Edward County Winegrower's Annual General Meeting, a trade show in August.
