Effective June 10, 2010, AccessPrivacyHB has expanded its Electronic Guide - AccessPrivacy.ca - to include information about the right of access under the federal Access to Information Act and Privacy Act. AccessPrivacy.ca is a subscription-based service, providing access and privacy professionals with detailed analysis of the rights of access under Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and its municipal counterpart (MFIPPA) as well as the federal government's ATIA/PA, interpretations of provisions and legal developments. The service is written in an easy-to-read narrative style, and provides quick access to the M/FIPPA and ATIA/PA legislation, decisions, analysis, practical resources, and current news.
This expansion provides twice as much information as was available previously. Users of the site will be able to check both the federal ATIA/PA Guide as well as the Guide for Ontario's M/FIPPA. Existing subscribers get the new federal content automatically as part of their existing subscription - there is no additional cost and no sign-up necessary. Both Guides will be available to all subscribers for one low fee.
