Evan VanDyk Evan VanDyk advises clients on a wide range of labour and employment law matters, including employment standards, wrongful dismissal claims, grievance arbitrations, employment contracts, workplace policies, human rights and accommodation.
During his legal studies, Evan was recognized with numerous awards, including Osgoode Hall Law School's Silver Medal as the graduate with the second highest cumulative academic standing over his three years of law school. He had the highest academic standing in first and second year, and received awards for the highest academic standing in labour law, criminal law, commercial law and taxation. He was an editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and worked at Parkdale Community Legal Services, a legal aid clinic funded in part by Osgoode Hall Law School and providing legal advice to low income residents living in the area.
Evan joined Heenan Blaikie’s Labour and Employment Law Group as an associate in 2008 after clerking at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Education
