Lara Jackson Lara Jackson joined Heenan Blaikie in 1999 after having articled with the firm.
Lara has a varied commercial and civil litigation practice, with particular emphasis on securities litigation and insolvency litigation and advice. She has appeared before all levels of the Ontario and Federal Courts as well as various administrative tribunals.
Lara's experience in securities litigation and advice includes broker negligence and fiduciary duty cases, representing individuals and dealers before various regulatory bodies including the Ontario Securities Commission, and advising with respect to corporate governance issues and compliance with the securities regulatory regime.
Within the bankruptcy and insolvency field, Lara has acted for borrowers and secured and unsecured creditors in receiverships and restructurings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Education
