Membre du Barreau de l’Ontario et du Barreau du Québec, agente de brevets agréée et agente de marques de commerce, Andrea Rush concentre sa pratique sur les TIC (technologies de l’information et de la communication). Andrea a plaidé comme avocate principale devant la Cour suprême du Canada, la Cour fédérale, la Commission du droit d’auteur et la Commission des oppositions des marques de commerce, et elle conseille ses clients sur la commercialisation de la propriété intellectuelle et des technologies.

Me Rush a été nommée par le gouvernement du Canada au Comité consultatif sur l’autoroute de l’information (sous-comité sur le droit d’auteur), au Groupe de consultations sectorielles sur le commerce extérieur (GCSCE) – Industries culturelles, et elle a commencé sa carrière juridique au ministère fédéral de la Justice.

Me Rush a siégé comme présidente du comité  du programme d’agrément des spécialistes en propriété intellectuelle du Barreau du Haut-Canada, présidente du chapitre torontois et administratrice de l’ALAI (Association littéraire et artistique internationale) Toronto, présidente de The Canadian Technion Society, membre du conseil des gouverneurs de Technion University, membre du conseil consultatif du Advisory Program in Law, Science, and Technology de Stanford University, administratrice et membre du comité éditorial de la Copyright Society of the U.S.A.. Elle a été membre des comités éditoriaux du INTA Trademark Reporter, du Canadian Patent Reporter et du IP Quarterly de Federated Press, et membre du Conseil de l’Université McGill. Elle est présentement vice-présidente du Women's International Network Committee (I-WIN) d'ITechLaw et membre de la Scarlet Key Society.

Récipiendaire de nombreux prix et bourses de l’Université McGill, du ministère de la Justice du Canada et de la Copyright Society of the USA, Andrea a enseigné le droit de la propriété intellectuelle au programme de maîtrise en droit de la faculté de droit Osgoode Hall et à l’OCAD University, àToronto. Elle est reconnue comme l’une des meilleures avocates au Canada par Who’s Who Legal (avocats en droit des affaires et marques de commerce), WTR 1000, Chambers Global 2012: Intellectual Property – Litigation de même que parLexpert; elle figure également parmi les avocates exceptionnelles en droit des affaires dans le Guide to the World’s Leading Women in Business.
